The back story

I dream a lot.  Not like once in awhile.... constantly.  I can be sleeping for 10 minutes and dream, an hour and dream, or 10 hours and dream.  I have been having vivid/ lucid dreams for almost 20 years.  It's exhausting, but oddly exciting.  I can fly.  I can re-dream certain parts if I don't like what happened.  I visit some of the same places.  Many of them years later.  (I recently visited a Hertz in a dream.  The guy at the counter said he remembered me and asked if it had been about a year since my last visit.  No joke.... it was probably about a year ago that I did have a dream with him and that Hertz location.)  I remember details.  I know the layouts of buildings.  The only thing I can't do or control is to stop dreaming.  It is fun, but like I said, it's exhausting.

I finally decided to do a sleep study.  I just did it this week and I'm currently waiting for the results.

So, I want to start keeping track of my dreams.  Of course a lot of what I dream will come off as sporadic.  It will be like trying to describe a movie or book in detail.  I will not be able to do it justice.  I will be able to describe snip-its in detail, but I can't promise it will flow perfectly.

Coming soon- My experience with the sleep study.
The first vivid dream I remember circa 1992.

  1. Hi friend! Its josh! I'm excited to learn about this. I have always been kinda fascinated by dreams. I don't have them very often. Like never. I can go months and never see anything. I can interact in my dreams also when I do have them. I know that I'm dreaming and I can change things but the one thing I can't control is when I wake up. But once I realize I'm dreaming it usually doesn't last to much longer. A few times I have been able to stay in the dream and completely aware and talked to myself in a few. Like I was my train of thought in the dream. It was cool. But like I said I never dream. So when I do it's a treat. :) I hope you get some answers!
